THE ACADEMIC INSTITUTION
The “Rafael Frühbeck” Professional Conservatory of Music is a public center for Elementary and Professional Music Education, located in the city of Burgos. It has more than 600 students and 70 teachers.
Our goal is to provide quality musical training without forgetting the rights, tolerance and freedom within the principles of social harmony. To do this, in addition to the individual instrumental training, we promote the subjects of Orchestra, Band, Choir, Chamber Music and Ensemble, and we promote extracurricular activities that complete the training of our students: courses, conferences, concerts. The entire team of teachers is involved in the comprehensive training of each student.
In our center the following specialties are taught: accordion, piano, clarinet, flute, bassoon, oboe, saxophone, horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, percussion, violin, viola, violoncello, double bass, guitar, organ and singing.
The conservatory has modern facilities that include 50 teaching rooms, a multipurpose room, a modern concert hall with a capacity for 380 people, a library, dressing rooms...
THE CITY
Strategically located in the north of the Iberian Peninsula, between the Cantabrian Mountains and the Duero Valley, Burgos is one of the nine provinces that form the autonomous community of Castilla y León. It is the second province with more inhabitants of the community.
